Privacy in Vedanga Alpha
Birth details are personal. This is what Vedanga does with them.
- What is stored
- The name or label you give a Kundli, date, time and place of birth, and the chart calculated from them.
- Why
- A chart cannot be calculated without them, and they are kept so you can open your Kundli again.
- Where
- On Tatvamaya's own server in India. A nightly backup, encrypted before it leaves the server, is kept in Tatvamaya's Google Drive; Google cannot read it. Place search runs on our server; your search is not sent to any outside service.
- How long
- A Kundli is deleted automatically 30 days after you last opened it, or at once when you delete it yourself. A Kundli you have paid to unlock is not deleted automatically. Deleting removes its birth details and charts. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 more days, so nothing remains after about 60 days.
- AI providers
- None. Vedanga does not send your birth details or chart to any AI service, and no data is used to train models.
- Accounts
- There are none. Your Kundlis are saved on our server, and a secure cookie in this browser is the only key to them. Clearing browser data, or using another device, removes access during Alpha.
- Payments
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. Vedanga never sees or stores your card, UPI or bank details. We keep the Razorpay order and payment ids, the amount and the date, as a record of the purchase; this record stays even if you delete the Kundli. Vedanga does not ask for your email or phone number; Razorpay may, to send its receipt.
- Access code
- After a purchase you get an access code. Only a scrambled form of it is stored, so we cannot show it again or look it up for you.
- Other people's details
- Please add someone else's birth details only with their knowledge.
