TNPSC certificate upload: one PDF of up to 200 KB per claim
Checked against official sources on 25 October 2026
TNPSC's Instructions to Applicants ask candidates to upload certificates and documents in PDF format: one PDF file of not more than 200 KB, with single or multiple pages, in support of each claim. This procedure applies to direct recruitments except posts in Group I, Group II and Group IV services. The photograph is a JPG of 20 to 50 KB and the signature a JPG of 10 to 20 KB.
| Upload | Size allowed |
|---|---|
| Certificates for each claim (one PDF, any number of pages) | up to 200 KB |
| Photograph (JPG) | 20 KB – 50 KB |
| Signature (JPG) | 10 KB – 20 KB |
Several certificates for one claim
If a claim needs more than one certificate, combine them into one file with Merge PDF, then compress the merged file to 200 KB with Compress PDF.
Which recruitments
The 200 KB procedure is for direct recruitments other than Group I, II and IV services. For those groups, follow the notification of the specific recruitment.
Keep it readable
Multi-page certificates squeezed to 200 KB can turn soft. Upload only the pages that are needed, and open the file to check it before uploading.
