Scan to PDF
Turn phone photos of documents into a clean, straight PDF, like a scanner.
How it works, tips and questions
Open Scan to PDF on your phone, take photos of the pages (or choose them from your gallery), and PDF Sevak finds the edges of the paper, straightens it, removes shadows and saves A4 pages as one PDF. No app is needed and the photos never leave your phone.
Step by step
- Open this page on your phone and choose Camera, or pick photos from your gallery.
- Check each page; tap one to move its corners if needed.
- Choose the look (Document makes the paper white) and download one PDF.
Good to know
Like a scanner app, without the app
PDF Sevak looks for the sheet of paper in each photo, straightens it if the photo was taken at an angle, and evens out shadows and yellow light so the page looks scanned. You can drag the four corners if the edge detection misses.
Ready for portal uploads
Pages are saved on A4 by default, the way most Indian forms expect. Choose Smaller (for portals) for a lighter file, then use Compress PDF if the portal has a strict limit such as 200 KB.
Your photos stay on your phone
Edge detection, straightening and cleaning all run inside your browser. The photos are never uploaded, which matters for Aadhaar, PAN, marksheets and bank documents.
Questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. It works in Chrome, Safari and other phone browsers.
What if the edges are detected wrongly?
Tap the page and drag the four dots to the corners of the paper, or choose Whole photo.
Can I add pages one by one?
Yes. Use Take photo or Add more, and reorder pages with the arrows.
Which look should I choose?
Document gives clean white paper and dark text, best for printed and handwritten pages. Colour keeps stamps and photos in colour. Black & white gives the smallest files.
