How it works, tips and questions

Open Sign PDF, choose the document, then draw your signature, type it in English or Hindi, or use a photo of it on paper. Click where it should go, add the date or your initials on every page, and save. The document never leaves your device.

Step by step

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Create your signature: draw it, type it, or use a photo of it on paper.
  3. Click on the page where it should go, then resize or move it.
  4. Add the date, your name or initials on every page if needed, and save.

Good to know

Three ways to make your signature

Draw it with your finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style (Hindi names work too), or take a photo of your signature on white paper. With a photo, PDF Sevak removes the paper and keeps only the ink, so it looks natural on the document.

Initials on every page

Agreements and rental documents in India are often signed or initialled on every page. Create your initials once and they are placed on every page automatically; move them on any page if needed.

Is this a legal digital signature?

This adds an image of your handwritten signature, the electronic equivalent of signing a printout. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign. Where a DSC or eSign is required, for example for some government filings, use that instead.

Questions

Can I sign in blue ink?

Yes. Choose blue, black or maroon ink.

Can I use a photo of my signature?

Yes. Sign on plain white paper, take a clear photo and choose Photo of signature. The background is removed on your device.

Is it the same as a DSC or Aadhaar eSign?

No. It is a visual signature. Use a DSC or eSign where the law or the portal requires one.
