Good to know
Why watermark ID copies
When you share an Aadhaar, PAN or passport copy, a watermark that says what the copy is for, and for whom, makes it much harder to misuse elsewhere. For example: “For ICICI home loan KYC only, 25 Oct 2026”.
Watermarks in Hindi and other Indian scripts
Most online tools can only stamp English letters because of the fonts built into PDF. PDF Sevak draws your text with your device's own fonts and embeds it as an image, so Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and other scripts appear correctly.
Questions
Can the watermark be removed?
It is part of each page's content, so it cannot be switched off in a PDF reader. Anyone with editing software can still work on the file; for stronger control, also use Protect PDF.
Can I add a watermark in Hindi?
Yes. Type it in Hindi or tap the “केवल केवाईसी हेतु” suggestion.
